Originally from India, I have worked in Science & Technology for the past 10 years. I strongly believe in the movement to apply natural sciences in the pursuit of the SDGs. I also volunteer for an international, space organization for youth where we develop recommendations on the ethics of space exploration and try to tackle the issues of equity and diversity in space and astronomy.

I'm a fellow at the IAU Office of Astronomy for Development (OAD), based in Cape Town, South Africa.
I hold a PhD in Extragalactic Astronomy and currently lead an OAD flagship project that aims at optimising the impact of astronomical facilities on local socio-economic development with a focus on remote areas.
